P.S. Without including the 400$ wheels!
Apple’s newest desktop computer, the Mac Pro has arrived. Its prices start from $5,999; while, the addition of upgrades can make you spend up to $52,199. One more thing you don’t get a screen to look at with this price.
What are the Additional Costs?
To upgrade the standard processor to the most-power of 28-core option, you’ll have to spend an additional $7,000, which is a prerequisite for the $15,000 worth memory upgrade of 1.5 TB. Upgrading the graphics will cost you $10,800, $1,400 for 4 TB of storage (an 8 TB option is on the way, so be ready to pay even more), and $2,000 for an Apple Afterburner card.
That totals up to $52,199, but you can always spend another $400 on wheels instead of feet at the bottom so that you don’t get “tyred” moving it around. You can also spend another $150 for the Magic Trackpad 2 and Magic Trackpad to experience the “golden touch” if you don’t want to use the included mouse.
If you want the elegant 32-inch Retina 5K Pro Display XDR screen that Apple sells for the Mac Pro, expect to pay an additional $4,999, and that does not include the optional $999 Pro stand. You’ll definitely need the stand unless you want to set up your $5,000 monitor against a wall or something.
If all this sounds bizarre, don’t worry. The Mac Pro isn’t made for regular users. Instead, it is engineered for video, audio, and photography professionals who want to extract as much power as possible from an Apple computer. Imagine Pixar animators, not casual web browsers. If you belong to that spectrum of that market, you can buy the Mac Pro now and expect the delivery as soon as next week.
